**City Experiences is seeking an Event Manager for our City Cruises operation in Toronto.**
**About You**:
This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.
**About the Opportunity**:
The **Event Manager** will provide a variety of strategic sales support to the Sales Managers, in addition to executing the post booking portion of the sale. The Event Manager will ensure continuous customer satisfaction while maximize revenue and profitability.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
Sales:
- Develops a comprehensive knowledge of all regional vessels, products, extras, pricing, and scripting to be effective sellers
- Handles post cruise follow-ups including passenger count adjustments
- Leads generation through proactive client outreach as directed by the Director, Food & Beverage, to be passed onto Sales Managers
- Ability to prioritize overflow of inbound port leads, along with quick response and continued engagement before passing to an account manager
- Convincingly presents pricing and to keep guests engaged and in turn increase sales
- Balances company and guest needs to create win/win situations
- Successfully upsells existing guest to higher value items
- Handles objections as they arise and overcome by using vast product knowledge
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule on a weekly basis, including conducting of site visits for their territory and coverage for other account managers
Guest Service:
- High attention to detail, including complete and accurate product details are communicated to the Food & Beverage and Operation teams to ensure proper product execution
- Follows the closing of a sale, take on the role of event coordinator and handle all cruise detailing
- As directed, being present during highly detailed events, serving as a liaison between sales and operations
- Follows up with guest within 24 hours after the cruise to further develop the account and to:
- Thank guest
- Discuss other events
- Obtain cruise feedback
- Set up next meeting
- Rebook for next year
- Get referrals
- Works with Director, Food & Beverage to resolve all guest issues in a timely manner
Administrative:
- Uses Salesforce CRM system to effectively plan and manage the activities in the assigned markets and to track productivity of these sales activities
- Uses Salesforce CRM & Reservation systems to accurately book and manage reservations and cruise details
- Maintains good organizational skills through time management, setting priorities, and accurate paperwork
- Sends weekly reports as directed by Director, Food & Beverage
- Compiles necessary reports for two-week meetings, ensuring that all cruise details are clearly visible for sales and operations teams
- Create and manages weekly schedules for Event Coordinators to ensure adequate coverage for all Events while staying within budgeted payroll allocations
- Prepares reports as necessary to improve management decision making and critical evaluation of work activities
- Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time
- Works alongside team daily, on major holidays and weekends to efficiently check in all events and immediately troubleshoot any guest challenges while on site
- Attend applicable meetings as designated or necessary
- Additional job duties as assigned
**Requirements & Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Event Management, Sales, or related discipline
- Minimum 1-year experience in a sale’s supervisory role
- Communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Maintain high level of organization
- Be detail oriented
- Handle multiple tasks/projects at one time
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by job responsibility
- Listen effectively, assesses the situation, determine relevant issues, & suggest solutions
- This position will require open flexible availability to include a schedule that is not limited to days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
