Data Management and Systems Integration Specialist

Job Description:
**POSITION PURPOSE**
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborates/works with stakeholders and follows the corporate strategic leadership, planning and direction related to this function.
- Researches, analyses, organizes, implements, and documents data acquisition, transformation, creation and maintenance processes, and ensures that data meets the Department’s quality requirements.
- Analyzes external systems requiring integration to technology systems; implements interfaces in consultation with ITS and relevant stakeholders.
- Assists in the evaluation, selection and acquisition of hardware, software, and vendor resources while adhering to budget plans.
- Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, KPIs, performance measure metrics and associated metadata.
- Leads project teams, ensuring the timely delivery of products and services, and tracks project activities, timelines, and project deliverables.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, GIS or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of systems development life cycle processes using databases and programming languages.
- Knowledge of trends in the use of current technologies and approaches related to data management systems.
- Experience in project management and leading project teams.
- Demonstrated ability in the Region’s core competencies.
- Ability to travel to offsite locations, as required.
