**The Position**:
Set Up Person - CNC / Mill

**Job Summary (Nature of Work)**:
Set up CNC and Mill machines

**Main Duties**:

- Setting-up/operating machines and equipment using live tooling and writing programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
- Setting up and programming the Mori Seiki NL 2500 with robotic loader. Will be responsible for setting up Mori Seiki 403 with live tooling, Mori Seiki 603 with live tooling and C axis. Set up and operate Okuma Cadet L1420 turning center with live tooling and Okuma Captain L70M turning centers.
- Resolving work problems and recommending work measures to improve productivity.
- Training or arrange for training of workers.
- Overseeing, coordinating and scheduling the activities of workers.
- Ensuring standards for safe working conditions are observed.
- Working closely with other members of the company to achieve team goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience.
- Must have Mastercam lathe programming
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate easily and effectively with co-workers.
- Team player with experience working in a team environment.
- Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with all employees
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Understand principles of Computer Numerical Controls.
- Operate and set-up CNC Lathes/Mills to perform repetitive machining operations.
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers, calipers).
