Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in CNC programming, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with various CNC controls, Inventor, 3D CAD, and blueprint reading is highly desirable. The CNC Operator will play a vital role in producing high-quality components efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery including CNC lathes and CNC milling machines using various controls (ie: Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, Mazak, etc).
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining specifications.
  • Write or modify CNC programs to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools and hand tools for machining tasks.
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
  • Assist with assembly, welding, or other manufacturing processes as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety protocols.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery, specifically CNC lathes and CNC milling machines.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls and basic CNC programming skills.
  • Mechanical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, and blueprint reading for precise part fabrication.
  • Ability to use basic math skills for measurements and calculations during setup and operation.
  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other manufacturing tools is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
