Machinist I

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Star CNC Swiss Machines, ensuring precision and quality in the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge to produce high-quality components efficiently.
Duties
Operate and monitor Swiss Lathes,
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to operate machines accurately.
Conduct quality control checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure adherence to specifications.
Utilize hand tools and basic math skills
Collaborate with team members in the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Skills
Proficiency in operating CNC Swiss Lathes (Star specifically)
Skilled in use of micrometer, height gauge and calipers, and Optical Comparator
Strong ability in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
Experience with quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.
Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding logistics related to production.
Solid understanding of machining processes and manufacturing practices.
Worked in AS9100 or ISO 9001:2008 certified environment
