CIC offers the Total Care Education System to support students to achieve their goal of getting into a post-secondary institution of their choice. Our Total Care Education provides services that can support international students to meet their Academic, Social, Emotional and Physical needs.

**Job Summary**:
The position of the **Activities Instructor**/**Summer Camp Employee** is responsible for promoting and demonstrating the philosophy and attitude of Total Care within the all Summer Camp events and activities.

**We are currently looking for enthusiastic Activities Instructors who have skills/expertise in one or more of the following areas: Music (Vocal/Instrumental), Cooking, Robotics, Science/Engineering, Art (Painting, Drawing, Drama, etc.), Craft (Clay, Crochet, Knitting, etc.), Sports (Soccer, Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, etc.)**

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Planning, implementing and facilitating activity classes (as listed above).
- Supporting large scale summer camp events (Games Day, Talent Show, Birthday Party, etc.).
- Leading or supporting evening and weekend trips.
- Interacting proactively with participants between breaks and leisure times.
- Taking attendance during trips, events and activities.
- Ensuring participants supervision and safety during Summer Camp Programming.
- Possibility of supervising a 4-day overnight Eastern Canada trip (Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City)
- Assisting participants with luggage during airport pickups and drop offs.
- Communicating with supervisor about needs or concerns.
- Maintaining a professional, positive, and helpful attitude.
- Wearing appropriate uniform: provided staff shirt, athletic footwear, and active/professional pants or shorts.
- Clocking in at the start of each shift and clocking out at the end of each shift.
- Maintaining an organized calendar of all scheduled shifts.
- Adhering to CIC Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant work experience with youth in a camp, recreation or educational environments
- Provide a Vulnerable Sector check (issued to a maximum of 6 months ago)
- Detailed and task oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication, prioritization, and time management skills
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Multilingual is an asset
