**Job Title**: Policy Analyst - Housing

**Work Location**: Toronto, ON. Hybrid (2 days/week in office; 3 days/week working from home)

**Job Type & Duration**: Full-Time

**Salary and Grade**: Grade 5, $72,459 - $80,510

**Hour of Work**: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

**Number of Positions Open**: 1

**Reports to**: Director Policy and Government Relations

**Major Responsibilities**:
To undertake policy research, analysis and advocacy on issues related to Friendship Centres' Housing related files to advance towards the achievement of improved outcomes for urban Indigenous people. All policy processes undertaken must be aligned with OFIFC’s long-range strategic plan.

**Key Qualifications**:
**Technical Competencies**:

- Knowledge of government organizational structures and legislative processes
- Excellent writing skills and ability to document clearly and succinctly for internal and external audiences
- Extensive experience in research, both qualitative and quantitative
- Ability to grasp political theory to be fair, balanced and unbiased in their recommendations
- Exceptional ability to build and foster relationships with external policy stakeholders
- Must have strong oral communication/public speaking skills

**You must also have**:

- Post-secondary education in Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration or another relevant discipline
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in policy analysis
- Post-secondary education in area of specialization is considered an asset
