**The Opportunity**
General Bank of Canada is looking for a Business Development Coordinator to join it’s Business Development team. Reporting to the Manager, Pricing & Product Development, you will be responsible for supporting the department to coordinate priorities and ensure timelines for day-to-day activities are met. You will support management activities and be accountable for planning and coordinating various projects. You will also be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities using insights from reports and managing promotional activities. In addition, you will be managing deadlines and activity progress across the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. Tasks will vary depending on business needs; this will require the employee to be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with strong communication skills
**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Manager, Pricing & Product Development with the execution of all business development initiatives and oversee major business projects to completion
- Assist with the preparation of power point presentations for Sales team meetings, Mid
- Management meetings, and monthly updates to other appropriate business units.
- Review competitive rate and reserves daily, and provide an update to the Manager, Pricing and Product Development, and Sales Reps.
- Plan and ensure designated project resources are in place, review and monitor of budget progress and keep necessary Management updated.
- Create and develop rate sheets, sell sheets and promotional material to support sales delivery and use within the marketplace.
- Ensure accuracy of trackers, budget, and any additional supporting reports for final review from management.
- Ensure GBC Territory Managers have completed sales strategy tasks in time for review by the National Sales Manager.
- Summarize monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to assist Sales understanding of corporate strategies and industry knowledge.
- Provide Business Development Department overview to both newly hired Sales Representatives and internal staff.
- Assist in the ongoing administration of the Dealer Management Framework
- Complete ongoing risk rating reviews on required dealerships for audit purposes
- Ensure department compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure all training material is up to date and processes are accurately noted
- Review of submitted department expenses for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate and arranges events, meetings, appointments, and conferences
- Other routine duties as assigned.
**What you Bring to the Table**:
- 2+ years of proven working experience in a Team Lead role.
- Proficient in MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Excel skills including but not limited to being able to create pivot tables, charts and using excel formulas for analytical review, creating and maintaining reports and trackers.
- Experience in the financial services or business development industry or a related field is an asset.
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Attention to detail with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry
- Experience in establishing work relationships across teams
