Due to growth within our company, **we are seeking a Custom Furniture Builder to join our team in St. Clements **(just outside of Waterloo). Artco’s skilled builders bring attention to detail and quality craftsmanship to every Artco product.

This is a full-time position with 44 hours a week. Wage commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided after the 3-month probationary period.

**WHO WE ARE**

Artco has nearly 40 years’ experience in **manufacturing case goods, upholstered furniture, and millwork** for the hospitality industry across North America. Artco specializes in high-end custom furniture for luxury hotels and is part of the Chervin group of companies which also provides high-end custom residential cabinetry, residential furniture, and home décor.

**WHAT YOU’LL DO**
- Read and interpret blueprints to create high-quality furniture
- Select appropriate materials and tools for each project
- Construct and assemble furniture pieces according to specifications
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet design and durability standards
- Work with the design team to improve product functionality and aesthetics
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure production requirements are met safely and efficiently

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- Proven experience as furniture builder or in a similar role an asset
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Good physical condition and endurance
- A passion for the core values that are the foundation of our company
- **BONUS**: Further education in carpentry or a relevant field is a plus.

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
