We are a small, independent restaurant with a passion for creating everything from scratch. From baking fresh sourdough bread to making our own ice cream and curing our meats, we take pride in crafting every detail of our menu in-house. We’re currently looking for a **Prep/Lunch Cook** to join our team. This is a **daytime position** that will involve preparing for service and cooking lunch during the week, as well as **brunch on weekends**. If you love working with high-quality ingredients, enjoy mastering different cooking techniques, and want to be part of a supportive, close-knit team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. **Strong cooking skills are essential** as we make everything from scratch, ensuring the highest quality in every dish.
**What You’ll Do**:
- Prepare fresh ingredients, from chopping vegetables to cutting meats, with attention to detail and precision.
- Cook and plate delicious lunch and brunch dishes to delight our guests.
- Set up and maintain an organized workstation with all the ingredients and equipment you need to succeed.
- Support prep tasks to keep the kitchen running smoothly, including baking, sauces, and other foundational components.
- Ensure each plate is beautifully presented and meets our high standards before it hits the table.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation protocols.
- Monitor inventory and ensure ingredients are properly stored and replenished.

**What We’re Looking For**:
- Proven cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong cooking skills with a passion for preparing food from scratch.
- Familiarity with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
- A team player with great communication skills who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of a busy kitchen.
- A passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
