Title: Forestry Technician

Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt

Reports to:
Essential Functions:
- Timber Cruising & Assistance- Boundary and Road Layout and Traverse- Riparian Assessment, Ecotype mapping, Road ECE’s- Crossing and Site Plan Data Collection

Minimum Requirements:
- A safety conscious attitude- A love of the outdoors- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team- 1 year of Forestry-related experience- Post-secondary education in natural resources, forestry or a related field (considered an asset)- Previous experience operating ATVs and pick-up trucks safely on various road conditions will be considered an asset- Punctuality, dependability, and accountability in the field- The ability to work away from home for periods of time

Type: Full-Time

Reports to:
Essential Functions:- The use of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop AND Pro for spatial data analysis and mapping- Managing projects and/or project components- Preparing and presenting recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences- Creating, publishing, and managing map services

Minimum Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Geographic Information Systems- Experience in Forestry, in a school or work setting- Experience utilizing ESRI ArcGIS 10.x and ArcGIS Pro,- Knowledge of Geodatabases and Shapefiles,- Experience analyzing and manipulating data,- Experience working with and creating maps and map layers,- Ability to use Microsoft 365 products (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive) in a cloud-based environment- Experience with Python or Arcade (considered an asset)- Ability to commute/relocate: Prince George, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
