ACRS (ASSET CONDITIONING REPORTING SYSTEMS) TECHNICIAN
TECHNICAL & HOUSING SERVICES
This competition is open only to PAGC First Nation Members and permanent employees of the Prince Albert Grand Council.
Position Summary:
Position Description:
- Assist in the creation of the annual ACRS Report.
- Input of data, using various methods such as keyboard entry, scanning, and digitizing.
- Update and analyze data using computer-based information systems producing reports and summaries to meet the requirements of the Housing & Technical Services staff, Indian Affairs and member First Nations.
- Assist other departments of the Tribal Council regarding use of Computer-based information systems.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience with AutoCAD and GIS programs would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of surveying and mapping, would be considered as asset
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite Programs (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Publisher).
- Ability to work and think independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural setting.
- Class 5 Drivers License.
Mapping/Drafting Duties:
- Field verification of new capital projects and housing construction.
- Producing reports based on field verification for the annual housing and infrastructure Asset Systems.
- Updating all community maps within PAGC. This involves editing of existing maps and inclusion of new construction of buildings, houses, sewer and water projects.
- Scanning of existing drawing that are not in digital format.
- Map updates and editing of roads, buildings cadastral, land use, lakes, rivers and in the near future, forest cover information.
- GPS Field work, collecting, downloading and processing of collected field data.
