**Job Title**: Global Logistics Manager

**Reports to**: VP, Supply Chain

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a Global Logistics Manager who can oversee the flow of inbound goods from local and overseas suppliers to our (5) distribution centers across the United States and Canada with a focus on operational effectiveness and cost efficiency. This person will contribute to the development and implementation of an effective logistics policy, and the associated procedures, that support both national and international supply chains and procurement functions of the company.

**Responsibilities**:

- Development and implementation of logistics strategies and department procedures.
- Own relationships across the supply chain (carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers).
- Coordinates freight consolidation directly with overseas contract manufacturers.
- Work with customs brokers to provide import/export documentation and resolve any issues.
- Record keeping for duty drawbacks.
- Gathers, analyzes, and tracks key market information and trends related to global logistics.
- Works with procurement to approve pending shipments.
- Works with inventory/warehouse managers to advise and schedule inbound deliveries.
- Updates estimated arrival dates of product in the system once in transit.
- Monitors and evaluates provider performance, and recommends or takes corrective actions, as required.
- Identifies new potential domestic and global logistics provider partners.
- Leads problem-solving activities with providers and establishes targets for improvement.
- Manages the database of HS codes for North America and stay up to date on industry rulings.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management - manufacturing / distribution preferred.
- Experience working in international logistics, specifically with a supply base in Asia.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Understanding of international logistics and trade compliance, including Incoterms.
- Interpersonal skills — ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and maintain composure in sensitive, pressure, and confrontational situations.
- Organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Computer skills — proficient in standard business software, NetSuite is a plus.
- Written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
- Willingness to work after-hours to coordinate with overseas partners - when necessary.

**Location**:Toronto, ON/Kansas City, KS area preferred, Remote

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
