As a key member of the [Department] team, you’ll help shape health and wellness outcomes for people around the world.
Here’s what you can expect in your role:
Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Global Distribution & Logistics the Supervisor, Global Logistics is responsible for leading Jamieson’s transportation team, as well as executing key projects and initiatives.
Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee transportation team – people & workload management, expedites and problem solving
- Assist with carrier & mode selection based on shipment specifications
- Deliver key initiatives & projects related to global transportation
- Effectively manage global transportation relationships with carriers & forwarders
- Negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes with internal & external partners
- Working in compliance with the company's Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure
- Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities
- Other duties or projects as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements
- +5 years of experience in global logistics – all modes
- Experience leading fast-paced transportation team(s)
- Comfortable managing diverse priorities & jumping in to execute when needed
- Solid understanding of import and export requirements
- Professional accreditation in logistics, supply chain or customs an asset
- Strong analytical abilities; Data analysis, problem solving, planning
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills; ability to manage difficult conversations
- Naturally focused on continuous improvement & personal development
