**Day Porter for Commercial Building**

York Heritage Properties is looking for a Day Porter to join our team. You will conduct general building cleaning and light maintenance.

**Span of Management**

Building management support across all assigned York Heritage owned and/or managed buildings. You will provide support as a resource at all other York Heritage buildings as needed.

While all Building Manager positions report into the Property Manager role directly, all building support positions report into the assigned Building Manager.

**Teamwork & Leadership**
- Supports positive morale, teamwork and continuous improvement, and is seen to be a positive influence on the maintenance team.
- Demonstrates consistent initiative and is proactive in looking after responsibilities.
- Notices items that require our attention and reports such to the Building Manager.

**Tenant Experience**
- Ensures tenant service requests are acknowledged, responded to and followed-up in a timely and positive manner.
- Provides a consistent and high level of service to our tenants.
- Troubleshoots situations for tenants, making every effort to make a difficult situation simpler through problem solving.

**Building Maintenance/Upkeep**
- Responsible for demonstrating mindfulness of deficiencies in buildings or on property, identifying and addressing issues that affect tenant comfort and safety and reporting issues, as appropriate, to the Building Manager.
- Responsible for assisting with trade access to various locations on the property as directed by the Building Manager.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Executes all housekeeping tasks including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, garbage collection, cleaning of washrooms, monitoring and restocking inventory, operation of housekeeping equipment.
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of all bathroom facilities, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors along with replacing soaps, toilet tissue and paper towels.
- Dusts work areas, woodwork, furniture, and other equipment.
- Empties waste baskets, garbage bins, recyclable bins and transports garbage, recycle refuse.
- Cleans common area walls, partitions, light switches, doors, and windowsills.
- Cleans and polishing chrome and other polished metal surfaces.
- Cleans movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures: dusts, spot cleans or washes, disinfects, when necessary, polishes where required.
- Assists with clearing all applicable walkways of snow and ice to ensure safety. Salt areas when necessary.
- Performs other related duties as required and as assigned.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
