**Job Brief**:
We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to clean our kitchen and support our cooking staff. This is an entry-level job but if you’re good at it, you’ll be invaluable in making sure our kitchen is always sanitized and tidy.

Kitchen Porter responsibilities include washing pots, pans, equipment and bins, keeping floors clean, sanitizing food preparation areas and occasionally helping with food prep work and organizing orders. Ultimately, you’ll be helping our kitchen team adhere to health standards and service our clients/customers faster.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitized
- Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts
- Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations
- Wash cookware, utensils and bins fast to keep them in rotation
- Arrange/store ingredient deliveries according to FIFO
- Clean and sanitize food equipment
- Keep the food and supply storage areas organized
- Remove the garbage, recycling to outdoor bins for pick-up
- Help with basic food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables, slicing and bagging bread) when needed
- Adhering to all food service safety and sanitizing procedures

**Requirements and Skills**:

- A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand for 8-10 hours
- Willingness to learn
- Adherence to all health and safety rules
- Good organizational skills
- The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment
- Patience and perseverance
- Evening availability 3 - 4 days a week
- A high school degree or equivalent is a plus but not necessary

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
