_Victoria Strong Manufacturing is a wood processing company, which manufactures custom interior doors and wood trim. The company is based in Mississauga, Ontario and has been operating since 2007. VSM is a family-owned business seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking individual to join our team as an Order & Purchasing Coordinator. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in the seamless execution of our production process by efficiently managing orders, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials._ **Day to Day Tasks**: - Efficiently process incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness, using QuickBooks & Excel. - Prepare orders for different production departments, maintaining a smooth workflow. - Source and purchase raw production materials to meet production demands. - Procure materials for customized orders or custom production needs. - Thoroughly check order details to avoid discrepancies. - Uphold positive relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and conditions when necessary. - Source new materials and identify potential vendors. - Assist in pricing custom jobs, collaborating with relevant departments to determine accurate costs. - Collaborate with various departments including CEO, finance, customer service, sales, and production to ensure effective communication and coordination. - Act as a liaison between departments, fostering a collaborative work environment. - Help our Customer Service Representative on busy days & in their absence. - Assist in implementing and maintaining health and safety measures. **Qualifications**: - Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various responsibilities simultaneously. - Maintain a positive and optimistic outlook in the workplace, fostering a collaborative and uplifting atmosphere. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with different departments. - Customer service experience is an asset. - Enthusiastic and outgoing personality. - Approach interactions with a friendly demeanor while maintaining a firm and assertive stance when necessary for effective coordination. - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in order processing and purchasing tasks. - Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in the face of changes, contributing to a proactive and solution-oriented work environment. - Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting. **What we offer**: - Part time to full time hours (35 - 40) hours a week. - This Position is required **in person** Monday to Friday. - $23.00 -$24.00 per hour depending on experience. - Insurance Benefits after 3 months. **Salary**: $23.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Extended health care Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday Application question(s): - How do you feel about wearing "multiple hats" in the company?
