We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our Distribution Center in Surrey, BC to supervise all warehouse functions and ensure all tasks are completed on time and accurately.

Work shifts are full-time Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00 pm with weekends off.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for daily operations of the warehouse
Supervise warehouse employees, provide work direction
Hire warehouse employees, provide coaching, mentoring and training opportunities
Approve requests for time off and timecards; write and administer performance reviews; administer corrective action
Conduct physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses, maintain accurate records of all the inventory and stock in the warehouse
Performing cycle counts as per company guidelines, review and send results to management
Coordinate and receive all inbound shipments, note discrepancies and take appropriate action(s) to resolve
Coordinate local outbound shipments with customer service and customers on company trucks or outside carriers, ensuring all orders are complete and accurate
Work closely with customer service, customers and warehouse staff to ensure all customer orders are ready and accurately staged to meet the customer’s requirements
Review customer orders as they are released to the warehouse, check that inventory levels are appropriate to complete the order
Ensure proper handling and storage of goods and supplies
Responsible for the safety of all warehouse staff and customers in the warehouse by maintaining Worksafe BC standards, including but not limited to, holding monthly (or more as required) safety meetings with the crew and performing monthly warehouse safety inspections; and ensuring safety requirements are being observed and followed
Supervise the labeling and tagging of warehouse items to ensure accuracy of inventory
Provide excellent customer service
Review purchase order acknowledgements; verify cost, product and quantity for factory and special orders
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse; ensure trash is picked up and dumped, floors are swept clean and bathrooms and break areas are clean and tidy
Develop and implementing internal procedures and processes
Helping to load customers’ trucks/trailers as required
Performs other duties as required

**Qualifications**:
High school diploma or equivalent required

2-4 years experience in a warehouse environment
Previously supervisory experience required
Experience in the garage door or building materials industry an asset

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Knowledge of warehouse coordination, work flow and staff supervision
Working knowledge of and ability to create, maintain and effectively work with spreadsheets and other office programs
Knowledge of the functionality of warehouse machines and equipment
Knowledge of safety standards
Knowledge of cycle counting, labeling and tagging warehouse items
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Proven ability to lead teams and provide clear work direction
Effectively lead, delegate and motivate subordinates
Ability to organize, prioritize and motivate teams to meet objectives Able to lift less than 50lbs without assistance and more than 50lbs using a team-lift
