Warehouse Supervisor

We are seeking a full time **Warehouse Supervisor** to join our **Surrey **Branch. Supervises and coordinates all activities of staff engaged in all facets of production, shipping, receiving and inventory control.

**Duties**
- Supervise and manage warehousing and manufacturing of parts, material, door and frame products
- Plan, organize and coordinate the flow and storage of material throughout warehouse, and coordinate replacement/ ordering of such
- Supervise and manage all staff warehouse
- Work with the Shipping Supervisor in overseeing of shipping and receiving duties
- Ensure that shipping of all contract and non-contract product is completed daily as advised by sales staff
- Build picking order slip, package and mark all required products to be shipped
- May be required to arrange shipments
- Give direction and instructions to staff in a professional, respectful manner
- Become proficient in all pertinent areas of Navision
- Detect errors, intercept errors, and correct mistakes in Navision before products get shipped to customers
- Establish work schedules and co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Resolve work and employee related problems, keeping the branch manager informed
- Ensure all customers (internal, external, on-site and off-site) are promptly, safely, professionally and courteously attended to in a timely manner
- Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies or send to applicable person for training
- Follows all safety policies including wearing appropriate safety attire at all times
- Provide coaching and performance evaluations for all staff in the production department
- Maintain a clean and organized entire warehouse; production and shipping area
- Ensure all production equipment and machinery are regularly maintained and in good working order

Inventory Control:

- Order and maintain correct hardware and hollow metal stock levels
- Supervise quarterly inventory count
- Returning stock is inspected and then either returned to the manufacturer for credit or put back into Allmar stock
- Establish work schedule to match production demands
- Control cost of production labour and material
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised

**Physical Demands and Work Environment**
- Mainly in the warehouse
- Sitting for irregular periods while working with standard office equipment
- Irregular periods of time focused on a computer screen
- Lifting of supplies and materials up to 80 lbs.
- May be required to go to external job sites
- Moderate lighting and variable temperature
- Standing/sitting/bending frequently throughout the work day
- Exposed to moderate to extreme noise levels (hearing protection mandatory)

- Extensive product knowledge related to hollow metal, door and frame fabrication
- Sound understanding of the Door and Hardware Industry

**Education and Experience Required**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Experience in reading job orders and technical specifications
- Welding experience an asset
- Warehouse experience required
- Supervisory experience an asset
- Proficient computer skill in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc) and Navision
