The general public to staff one (1) permanent (full-time) position in the Communications, Broadcasting and Publications Directorate.

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

In addition to their resume, applicants are required to send a cover letter (maximum one page) highlighting why they are passionate about social media and digital content and how they would like to contribute to the work of the Senate of Canada’s social media team

**Prerequisites**
- Successful completion of a university degree or college diploma, in communications, journalism or related field of study and/or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience;
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the social media communications field;
- Experience creating social media content and maintaining accounts on behalf of an organization for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn;
- Experience with social media management tools like Hootsuite;
- Experience planning and delivering social media campaigns and measuring results;
- Experience explaining social media trends and techniques in plain language;
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment;
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail;
- Demonstrated interest in, and knowledge of Parliament and the Canadian political landscape.
