We’re a Canadian-owned and BC-based energy company taking steps toward a lower-carbon energy future by providing renewable energy, natural gas and electricity to more than 1.2 million customers.
We’re looking for new talent to join us as we transform BC’s energy future. Our diverse team of more than 2,600 employees is committed to a safe and inclusive culture where each of us can connect, belong and grow. Join us and let’s work together for a better BC. Position Overview
You're a results-driven individual that can overcome any challenge to get the job done. Your strength lies in your ability to build sound and trusting relationships to achieve your objectives. Along with your passion to be a part of the future of energy, you are a collaborator at heart, you're transparent with all of your interactions and can influence the conversation by getting your point across effectively and respectfully.
As our Account Manager, Renewable Gas, you'll identify, analyze and develop new renewable gas supply projects, manage our existing supply agreements and continue strengthening our vendor partnerships.
We're committed to building a greener future with our 30BY30 target to reduce our customers' emissions by 30 per cent by the year 2030. We need collaborators, innovators and leaders like yourself to help us achieve our goal. In year 1, you will:
Develop an understanding of all internal processes to complete agreements and deals.
Develop business cases and work with senior team members for approvals.
Immerse yourself in understanding our agreements and work to finalize at least one agreement, which includes working with the British Columbia Utilities Commission to receive final approval. In year 2, you will:
Build upon your first year of experience and progress to working on multiple new deals to secure new renewable gas supply.
Expand your expertise to secure new types of renewable gas agreements and deals. What it takes:
A bachelor's degree in a business-related field with five or more years of experience in customer management, sales, business development and marketing.
A solid understanding of industrial equipment, gas infrastructure, gas supply and gas marketing is an asset.
A natural ability to develop relationships and partnerships to build trust and drive results.
A 'get it done' attitude, even in the face of adversity and tough challenges.
A detailed-oriented approach and ability to translate ideas into contractual language clearly and concisely.
Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
In this role, you’ll be provided with a degree of flexibility in where your work is performed while meeting business needs. This includes the flexibility to also work full-time from the office as all of our roles require at least some in-person time.
