Edmonton Truck Training is looking for a passionate, professional who wants to be a part of our team.

We are looking to hire a Class 1 MELT instructor who has experience on the roads that they can share

Position Title: Licensed MELT Driving Instructor

Required Qualifications

Successful applicants must have the following requirements:

- Proof of a valid class 1 drivers license for more than 5 years
- **Proof of an acceptable driving record (no drivers license suspensions or cancellations within a two year period)**:

- Current Criminal Record check including a Vulnerable Sector check will be required
- Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to curriculum training, safe operation, equipment maintenance, industry, and legislative safety standards
- Conduct student evaluations (marking and grading) and complete comprehensive student progress reporting
- Demonstrate a professional code of conduct

**We are looking for a MELT Driving Instructor who is already certified**

However, if we cannot find someone who is certified we are looking for an individual interested to become a licensed MELT Driving Instructor approved by Alberta Transportation.

If we find the right individual with a hard work ethic, and great communication skills we are willing to help train and prepare you to become a Class 1 Instructor. We need an instructor who is patient and is able to calmly and effectively teach. This individual will need to pass the knowledge test required by Alberta Transportation. The individual who applies needs to be aware that they will be required to study on their own time to prepare for the test. There will also be a practical test required once the knowledge test has been completed successfully.

We pay competitively. Pay will be based on your certification, background, and experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $31.00-$34.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

COVID-19 considerations:
Common surfaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly. Masks are no longer required.
