Conference and Events Manager

Niagara's Finest Hotels is currently seeking a full time Conference Events Manager to join our growing team
This is an exciting opportunity that can provide a chance to work with a tenured team while helping to make our guests events special
**What you'll be doing**:
- Provide personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity.
- Meeting established up-selling and sales goals.
- Works with Clients to generate a detailed plan for function/events (menus,
- timing, billing and all other client request).
- Prepares agenda and Hotel letter (summary of contract/event) for the client.
- Prepares billing estimate based on contract
- Create Banquet Events Order (BEO’s) for all Niagara’s Finest events/functions.
- Input rooming lists into Maestro.
- Actively work all functions on/off site, (this include being at function prior to arrival of Guests and during the event to execute the function seamlessly).
- To ensure that high standards of Guest Service are maintained for Conferences and Special Events.
- Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services.
- Suggesting additional product and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferences.
- Assessing Guests’ individual needs to meet standards for additional products and services.
- Actively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needs.
- All other duties as assigned.
**What you'll bring to the team**:
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge.
- Knowledge of all aspects of conference and catering groups.
- Post-secondary education preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Previous background in banquets/catering industry of two (2) years at a Supervisory/Managerial level.
- Good computer skills at intermediate level in word processing.
- Knowledge of computer programs such as Maestro, Microsoft Word and Excel an asset.
- Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to work Tuesday-Saturday (9:00am-5:00pm & 12:00pm-8:00pm)

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
