Backed by a fifth-generation family-owned company, Spicers is a leading distributor of commercial print and business papers, specialty products, graphic solutions, sign & display equipment and materials, and packaging and facility supplies and equipment.

We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 23 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.

Spicers Canada ULC (“Spicers”) is currently looking for a **Full-Time Outside Sales Consultant** located in Vaughan, Ontario reporting to the Sales Manager.

**Position Summary**

The Outside Sales Consultant is responsible for selling and promoting the Company’s products and services. This position is also responsible for the management of their printing paper sales territories, achieving budgeted gross profit objectives, and reporting on competitive and marketplace information. The Outside Sales Consultant is responsible for attainment of budget goals, sales, profit and to ensure continuous growth within their market segment.

**Key Responsibilities**

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Outside Sales Consultant include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Responsible for financial and market share growth by achieving or exceeding the sales and gross profit dollar targets set during forecasting sessions and expanding account base;
- Promotion and sale of products;
- Providing customers with information regarding new products, promotions, etc.;
- Ensuring that all customer sample cabinets, price books, and files are kept up-to-date and in good condition;
- Addressing customer requests and complaint promptly and professionally;
- Conducting market research;
- Assist management in developing sales forecasts and offer recommendations for areas of improvement in Company strategies, markets, products, and service;
- Attending sales meetings;
- Participating in continuing education and stay abreast of developments in the fields of selling, marketing, paper products, printing technology, etc.; and
- Other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**
- Post-secondary diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Post-secondary degree or diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in sales;
- Industry knowledge and understanding of paper manufacturing, paper distribution, graphic products, printing processes, sign and display or industrial supplies and packaging considered an asset;
- Valid G class license;
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills;
- Ability to identify and maintain knowledge of key contacts within the region and establish multi-level relationships;
- Proficient in using MS Office;
- Strong organization skills;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Strong creative abilities;
- Strong organization and time-management skills;
- Punctual, dependable, and reliable;
- Excellent teamwork and ability to work independently;
- Self-directed and self-motivated; and
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

**Working Conditions**
- Ability to travel;
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle;
- Ability to work in a busy, open area office;
- May have to spend long hours in concentration which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy;
- This position faces a number of deadlines which may cause stress;
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
