**Please note**:This position requires shift rotation
- days/afternoons/nights. This a unionized hourly position.

**Primary Function**:
Basic support responsibility for various automated cells. This includes: Load, modify and troubleshoot CNC programs for machining equipment, as well as load, modify and troubleshoot 6 axis robot programs used in various automated cells, including automated welding cells. Troubleshoot and ensures that automated equipment continue functioning during run e.g Robotic Welder, Bender, Hammers, Upsetters etc.

**Job Duties**
- Creates instructions for Operators
- Communicates continuous improvement opportunities to operations and engineering.
- Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
- Chooses cutting tools, welding fixtures or hammer / Upsetter dies that will be needed.
- Modifies existing programs for increased efficiency.
- Use material handling equipment to deliver parts to automation equipment.
- Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
- Reset and clear faults including removal from not conforming products to get machine running
- Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure equipment continue functioning.
- Other duties as required

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Must have above average CNC programming skills.
- Must have above average robot experience (ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa Motoman)
- Must have excellent reading comprehension skills.
- Good math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics.
- Good active listening skills.
- Must have good problem solving skills.
- Must have good organizational and planning skills.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.
- Must have the ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment.

**Education and Experience**
- Robotics and Automation diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of robots electronics, CNC programming, Forging and machining.
- Preferred - Experience with FANC/ABB robot programming.
- Beneficial - Experience with Welding automation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $34.15 per hour
