We are currently seeking to hire a **Real Estate Legal Assistant**.
- Communicating directly with clients, real estate agents, and lawyers to ensure timely processing of transactions
- Preparing reporting letters and accounts to clients, promptly following completion of files
- Preparing and processing real estate documents, including Agreements of Purchase and Sale, documents for Purchases, Sales, Mortgages, Refinances, and Private Mortgages
- Coordinating with real estate agents, lenders, and other parties to gather necessary information and documentation
- Ordering title insurance policies and other third-party information required for closing
- Conducting thorough due diligence, including ordering and reviewing tax certificates, title, and off-title searches
- Supporting productivity of the practice through comprehensive legal administrative support, including billing, scheduling appointments, and calendarizing deadlines
- Maintaining impeccable file organization and management
- Proficient with the use of Unity and Teraview
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and responding promptly to inquiries
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
Required Experience/Qualifications:
- Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant program or equivalent
- 5 - 8 years of Real Estate experience
- A solid knowledge of legal office practice, legal terminology, and procedure relating to legal correspondence and legal documents
- Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Exhibit excellent commitment to client service and the maintenance of client confidentiality
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
- Excellent organizational skills, resourceful, and capable of working independently, as well as with a number of individuals in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise good judgment and confidentiality
- Experience in Commercial law would be an asset
- Experience with GhostPractice and iManage would be an asset

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
