**About the position**:
The Regional Manager, Operations is responsible for day-to-day operations management in their assigned region, and for providing leadership and coaching to the terminal leaders to meet department performance objectives.

The shift for this role is 2pm-10pm, Monday
- Friday.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of all terminals in the Ontario region including:

- Provide Operational supervision and leadership to the Ontario operations
- Pro-actively identify and communicate issues, propose, and implement solutions for continuous improvement regarding processes, cost, service, and profitability
- Manage budgets and KPIs
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
- Responsible for management of the Terminal leaders including:

- Create an engaging work environment built on strong teamwork and collaboration across the operations team
- Manage and assess the comprehensive strategy for assessing deliverables and utilizing resources to ensure freight delivery timelines are met
- Provide the team with guidance in handling difficult or complex issues or problems in a way consistent with the company culture and values
- Partner with Human Resources and Safety & Compliance to drive deliverables and provide team with guidelines which are consistent with legislature and organizational culture, goals and mission.
- Complete all general administration required for people management, including Ontario payroll and vacation planning using Ceridian Dayforce on time and in accordance with corporate policy
- Chairs various team meetings including daily call with terminal leaders
- Demonstrate strong leadership by example, develop talent through coaching

**Skills and Qualifications**
- College diploma or equivalent work experience required
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in progressively senior positions within the transportation or logistics industry
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, reliable and has a keen sense of urgency
- Works well under pressure to meet or exceed delivery standards
- Experience in the transportation industry required
- Must have strong technical, project management, implementation, and process improvement skills
- Strong leadership, management, supervisory skills
- Exceptional judgement and decision making with high degree of values and ethics
- Client-focused mindset
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective cross-functional relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

**Environment**:

- No chemical exposure
- Standard driving environment, with exposure to warehouse environment, road/ weather conditions and various client sites
