Come join our Chilliwack, BC team and leverage your skills as an **Operations Coordinator.** **As an Operations Coordinator you can expect**: - Excellent Wages - Annual Wage Review - Employee Referral Program - Company Paid Life Insurance, Health and Dental Benefits - RRSP Company Match - On the Job Training - Uniforms Provided - Safety Shoe Allowance - Clean and Safe Work Environment - Continuous Skills Development - Opportunities for Advancement **Responsibilities**: - Accounts Payable - coding invoices and submitting to Finance department for payment - Accounts Receivable - forwarding Cheques to Finance and maintaining cash receipts for local purchases - Inventory - processing cycle counts of all inventory; manage all raw material and finished goods and adjustments; resolving errors; inventory write-offs; month-end closures; water donation tracking; analysis of root cause on gaps in inventory - Hiring and On-boarding of new employees - review resumes, participate in interviews, ensure appropriate paperwork is completed and first day orientation - Training - tracking & ensuring all annual and machine training is complete; maintaining training records - Auditing - ensure employee files and HR documents are up to date - Time & Attendance - accurate daily maintenance of all Employee hours in time & attendance system; preparing bi-weekly payroll for review and Manager sign-off; ensuring that payroll-related documents are submitted to HR - Health & Safety - complete accident reports and investigations for all workplace injuries within 24 hours (reportable and non-reportable); assist with return to work plans; participate on Joint Health & Safety Committee & process meeting minutes and action items - HR - liaise with HR and work as on-site point of contact for benefits, disciplinary actions and disseminating information to hourly staff - Event Coordination - main contact for setting-up staff events under direction of Plant Manager - General Administration - mail, filing, maintaining logs, gathering information, etc. **Knowledge & Skills**: - Proficient with Microsoft Office Automation Tools as well as Transactional Data Bases (SAP) - Enjoys working hard, is action oriented and full of energy. Can be counted on to achieve results, with a clear bottom line focus. Hands-on leadership - will help with any task in the Plant (i.e. Operating line equipment, driving forklift, etc.) - Able to make sound decisions using all available resources, and clearly shows good judgment in interpreting company policy, procedure and processes. - Demonstrates a commitment to learning and development and sees the possibilities when approaching business challenges. Will not accept "No" for an answer and instead shows perseverance in the face of road blocks. Shows creativity in approaching solutions to problems. - Demonstrates understanding of internal and external customer needs when setting standards and service level agreements. Consistently meets agreed upon commitments to all customers. Work is completed with the mindset of ownership in the business and that all contributions matter. Will have "respect for other" as first value to deal with others. - Demonstrates high integrity and trust in all relationships consistently. - Competent communicator both verbally and written, with effective interpersonal skills. Shows openness and receptivity to the communication needs of others and is a team builder.
