**Job Title: Music Festival Coordinator**
**Organization: Sudbury Music Festival**

**Job Type: Part-Time**

**Contract length: 12-month probationary contract**
**Location: Greater Sudbury, ON (hybrid/remote flexibility)**

The Festival Coordinator is responsible for the successful planning, organization, and execution of the annual Sudbury Music Festival, typically held over a 10-day period in the month of April. Working closely with the festival’s Board of Directors, adjudicators, volunteers, and the local community, the Coordinator ensures the festival runs smoothly and maintains its high standard of musical excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate registration and scheduling for all festival classes
- Manage the festival website and promotional outreach
- Recruit and liaise with adjudicators, volunteers and support staff
- Communicate with teachers, students, adjudicators, donors and volunteers
- Prepare festival materials including programs, certificates, and adjudicator packages
- Oversee the setup and operation of festival venues
- Support the organization of the festival’s final concert and awards presentation
- Maintain accurate financial records and submit reports to the Board

Laptop computer and printer provided

**Qualifications**:

- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in event planning, arts administration, and/or music education
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of classical and contemporary music education is an asset

Ability to commute/relocate to Greater Sudbury or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Compensation**:

- Annual contract paid in monthly installments
