A variety of materials and resources will be presented incorporating different media and art techniques..25 credit Prepare and deliver course content in alignment with approved learning outcomes and curriculum expectations. Facilitate interactive instruction that emphasizes studio-based practice, creative exploration, and reflection. Introduce instructional strategies and assessment approaches for Visual Arts education. Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work. Collaborate with other instructors in the arts area, as appropriate. Submit final grades and maintain communication with the Teacher Education Office or course coordinator, if applicable. **Responsibilities**: You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades. **Qualifications**: - Qualifications (Minimum Required): - Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Fine Arts Education, Curriculum Studies, or a closely related field. - Familiarity with Ontario Grades 1-8 Arts Curriculum (2009) and demonstrated experience teaching Visual Arts at the Primary, Junior, or Intermediate level. - Experience teaching or designing integrated arts programs. - Knowledge of arts-based assessment and digital tools to support visual arts learning in various delivery formats. - Proficiency in inclusive, culturally responsive, and differentiated instruction in visual arts. - Preferred Qualifications / Assets: - Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing (current) or within the last five years. - Specialist’s certificate in Visual Arts or equivalent academic/professional expertise. - Collaborative experience with multi-disciplinary arts teams. - A record of effective teaching performance at the post-secondary or teacher education level.
