Do you enjoy cooking? Do you enjoy working with children? We got a position for you We offer healthy and nutritious meals and snacks to our children We provide 2 snacks and a lunch each day. We are looking to fill a cook position to make these delicious meals - flexible - work as a team - experience in cooking and/or child care an asset but not required *organized *Monday to Friday *Start date to be discussed Reports to centre supervisor **Responsibilities**: - Seasonal Menu Planning following the child care menu planning guide - Follow all health unit kitchen protocols - Follow all Ministry of Education Kitchen Protocols - Maintain paperwork - record of temperatures, cleaning, substitutins - Maintain an inventory list weekly - Order and pick up groceries - Cook meals following the menu and any dietary needs - Communicate with staff to ensure enough food is being served - Follow centre's philosophy with healthy eating - Covering classroom staff for lunch coverage - Any other duties/responsibilities that may arise and discussed **Requirements**: - Over 18 years of age - Up to date first aid & CPR "C" - Successful Completion of Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check - Up to date immunizations (Childhood Series, Hepatitis B & Tetanus) *Food Handler's is required - can provide link/resource to obtain *Cost of Police check, First aid and Food Handlers covered by the company Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Vision care Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - No weekends Ability to commute/relocate: - Gravenhurst, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): - Do you have experience cooking and/or child care experience? - If you do not have experience cooking and/or child care experience, do you enjoy cooking?
