**Join Our Team**
We are growing and want you to join our energetic team environment that encourages engagement at all levels. As the Controller, your input will be critical when managing the overall financial operations to provide accurate information including analysis, budgeting, compliance, monitoring and financial reporting for our business.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the owners, you will:
- Prepare, analyze and present monthly financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, policies and directives governing financial matters.
- Facilitate the budget process for all related entities.
- Manage all government tax remittances, reporting and payments.
- Execute accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements, financial analysis, recommendations, quarterly and year-end results and forecasting.
- Develop, implement, modify and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of technology.
- Prepare reports to ensure timely and accurate completion of finance duties such as bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, banking, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable, etc.
- Manage preparation of payroll and administration of benefits for employees.
- Be responsible for month-end and year-end close processes.
Act as liaison to external audit accountants and coordinate year end reports.Assist the senior leadership team on special projects when called for.
- Delegate, supervise and review work of junior accounting and administrative staff.
- Assist in maintaining of safety data and ensure proper reporting is done.
**Qualifications**:
Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance or related discipline preferred. Previous experience in an accounting/finance role.
