Equipment Maintenance Technician

Austech Custom Fencing, a reputable fencing company based in Rocky View County, is looking for an eager and reliable individual to roll up their sleeves and contribute to a lively work environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate, maintain, and assist with a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to:
- Light to medium-duty trucks ( 6.71 engines)
- Skid steers
- Trackhoe
- Zoom Boom
- Chain saws, drills, and other power tools
- Perform basic servicing and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Assist with the fabrication of fencing tooling and materials (welding, machining, paint booth work).
- Support installation tasks such as material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.
- Contribute to design, CAD, and CAM functions (training provided if needed).
- Work closely with skilled tradespeople and assist with additional tasks as required.
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with various types of equipment.
- Hydraulic systems experience is a strong asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract). Being 25 or older is an asset for insurance purposes.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 100 lbs. and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Rocky View County shop (no public transit is available).
- Prior experience in trades, construction, or agricultural settings is considered an asset.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are valued above all else.
**What we Offer**:
- Hands-on training to develop valuable trades skills, including welding and machining.
- Reimbursement for safety gear such as steel-toe boots, coveralls, and gloves.

**Schedule**:
**Installation Season**:
- Range between 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
**Off-Season**:
- 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
- Normal working hours are 8 hours a day with the opportunity of overtime.
**Compensation is based on your skills and experience.**
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay
