Heavy Equipment Operator

**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and Skid Steers to perform various tasks on construction sites.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively and safely.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the transportation of materials and equipment as needed.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and skid steers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is preferred.
- Experience in construction or under ground utilities, operation is a plus.
Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cochrane, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
