**Description**:
Altyp Welding & Fabricating is looking for a Journeyman/Journeywoman Machinist. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week.

**Qualifications**:

- Program and Set-up CNC machines with a strong emphasis on G-code programming.
- Study and interpret drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs
- Preform first off inspections when required by co-workers.
- Communicate with Supervisor and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining, production or quality Issues.
- Within the scope of the job requirements, required to adhere to and comply with the Company Quality program and procedures, Company policies and Health and Safety policies/regulations.
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor

**Qualifications**:

- Speak, read and write English
- 5+ years’ experience programming/ operating

CNC machines, preferably Haas
- Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings, and experience using measuring tools
- Experience cutting various types of threads
- Must be a quick learner, and have strong attention to detail
- Must be a strong team player, and have great communication skills
- Gibbs-Cam experience would be an asset

- TRAK Lathe
- Manual Nardini

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
