The Mikisew Cree First Nation (Mikisew) has lived on the ancestral lands of the Athabasca Delta and Wood Buffalo National Park in northeastern Alberta since time immemorial. Many of our members live in the hamlet of Fort Chipewyan, and our traditional lands range over a large portion of Athabasca oil sands deposits. **Who You Are**
The Training Coordinator is a highly skilled and motivated professional. The position is established to coordinate and facilitate community members access to skills, training, educational supports, job placements, employment opportunities job retention and career advancement. As a Training Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in designing, coordinating, and delivering comprehensive training programs for our employees. You will work closely with various departments to identify training needs, develop training materials, and ensure effective implementation of training initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with department managers to assess training needs and identify skill gaps within the organization.
- Develop and implement training programs, including content creation, delivery methods, and evaluation strategies.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions, ensuring availability of trainers and participants.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, and resources to support effective learning.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars, both in-person and remotely.
- Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness and make necessary improvements based on feedback and assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and feedback.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in training and development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company-wide training policies and procedures.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Training Coordinator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in training delivery techniques and various training tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality training programs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Learning Management Systems
