Technical Support Advisor

The Technical Support Advisor is a highly motivated tradesman managing the projects for the installation team. As a key team member of the technical team, you will be involved primarily in ensuring parts and materials are available for projects by reviewing blue prints, working with factory to schedule parts, verifying receipt of items, tracking and managing project parts inventory. The ability to travel occasionaly to client’s sites and maintain a close working relationship with the engineering and project management departments is a must in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsabilities
- Support the follow-up of ” Modifications On Site ” orders in our fab plants (concentrated on the South Carolina plant).
- Support the tracking of “Modifications On Site ” shipping from our plants with procurement.
- Process Service Order on ERP System for ” Modifications On Site ”.
- Support the PTS ‘’ Project Technical Project’’ department for the research of manufacturing sub-contractors.
- Support the follow-up of orders ” Modifications On Site ” at our suppliers.
- Support the PTS department for resource planning and monitoring of SO’s in the field.
- Support on-site Coordinators for order tracking.
- Be available to answer emergency calls outside of office hours.
Skills and Qualifications
- Management Experience.
- Ability to solve problems and meet challenges.
- Good negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Be honest, autonomous and methodical, with superior attention to detail using sound judgement skills.
- Ability to read blue prints.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Sawmill industry is an asset.
