In this role as a Human Resources Generalist, you are tasked with the day-to-day support of Recruitment, Training, HR, Health and Safety, Benefits and Payroll administration including but not limited to the project management, administration and implementation of policies, procedures/programs for the organization, investigation/resolution of employee issues, concerns/conflicts and ensure all employment practices comply with federal, provincial and local regulations.

As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for the following but not limited:

- Provide support for the HR department.
- Develop, implement, communicate and manage human resources programs and policies by providing human resources services, including but not limited to talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, and labour relations; completing personnel transactions.
- Complies with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solutions; coaching and counseling managers and employee regarding their objectives and key results when necessary.
- Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions.
- Work with consultants regarding pay equity, pay banding and etc.
- Manages client expectations by communicating project status and issues; resolving concerns; analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Act as point of contact and manage relations with external agencies relating to human resources including but not limited to the Ministry of Labour, WSIB, temporary labour agencies, etc.
- Establish and manage company employee training and development programs.
- Employee relations and conflict resolution between employees.
- Issue disciplinary letters and lead employee termination procedures.
- Participate in meetings for the company Joint health and safety committee and play a key role in ensuring a safe environment for employees.
- Manage the administration of the company’s compensation and benefits plans.
- Conduct audits of various payroll, benefits, or other HR programs.
- Manage and complete HR projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Payroll or related discipline.
- 3+ years’ of proven experience in Human Resources function.
- Knowledge and detailed understanding of Human Rights, Labour Relations, Employment Standards, Health and Safety and Pay Equity Legislation, Job Analysis and improvement of HR metrics/KPIs.
- Prior experience with ADP Workforcenow is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of core areas of Human Resources (i.e., talent management, compensation, employee relations, talent acquisition, leadership development, etc).
- Strong grasp of employment standards and regulations.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Applications.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a variety of people and personalities.
- Ability to effectively and professionally read, write and communicate in English.
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills. Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, ability to lead and work as part of a team.
