Thorncrest Electric Inc. is currently looking to recruit a full-time Account Receivable Manager to join our vastly growing team of professionals. Thorncrest Electric Inc. is a IBEW Union Electrical company focusing on high-rise electrical with over 20 projects throughout the GTA. This role is to provide support Accounts Receivable and Collection Support to our Financial Controller. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our finance team overseeing Toronto and Montreal.

The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees and manages accounts receivable functions, including managing invoices, handling collection of payments, and managing daily financial transactions. This role involves overseeing the entire receivables process, from invoicing to collections, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Set objectives for the accounts receivable team that align with the accounting department’s goals
- Monitor processing of invoices
- Maintain accurate records of all receivable transactions and ensure timely processing of payments.
- Ensure timely collection of payments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts receivable reports and present findings to management.
- Organize records of invoices, bills, and deposits
- Preparing aging reports
- Process invoices
- Job costing
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Follow up and resolve any problems or inquiries regarding payments for the organization
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounts receivable policies and procedures.
- Prepare monthly Stat Dec’s for all projects prior to invoicing

**Other Misc. Duties and Tasks**:
Working with and overseeing our part-time assistant with the following:

- Document and track ongoing apprentices
- Document and log ongoing employee interactions
- Communicate with foremen to collect and post weekly timesheets
- Electronically and manually store documentation.
- Submit claims and register employees for ongoing courses
- Maintain basic office bookkeeping
- Responsible for on-boarding and documenting all new hires
- Assist with varying day to day office specific services as needed.

**Qualifications/Skills**
- Excellent computer skills including advanced data entry (alphanumeric); advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (routine and complex formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, charts/graphs, etc.) and Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Previous experience working in the electrical or construction environment strongly preferred
- An understanding of business and management principles, leadership strategies, and strategic planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
