**Job Title: Jr Logistics Coordinator**

**Reports to: Branch Manager**

**Objective**

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Communicate with agents and clients.
- Prepare and send status reports to clients
- Open files for operations staff
- Enter and send pre-alerts to Customer and agents regarding the departure of shipments.
- Negotiate rates with carriers.
- Trace shipments with airlines, lines, and truckers.
- Input and issue airway bills, b/update clients and agents on the status of their shipments.
- Arrange p/u from shippers.
- Issue invoices.
- Issue intents to claim.
- Accrue pending charges.
- Approve payables.
- Update costs with agents and carriers.
- Send out profit share requests.
- Send out and follow up on PODs.
- Close export files.
- Maintain and update Client status report.
- Problem solve.
- All other job-related duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience highly preferred
- CITT and/or CIFFA certifications considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in managing third-party logistics providers
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions
- Customer-focused
- Ability to multi-task and remain organized
- Highly effective communication skills in person, bright and friendly attitude with a willingness to help when required
- Motivated to be helpful and offer support
- Honest, trustworthy and respectful
- Demonstrate sound work ethics
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong Organizational Skills (prioritize, plan, assign and control)
