Due to our recent growth, we are looking for a detailed-orientated Freight & Customs Clearance Coordinator to join our supply chain team.

In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the smooth clearance of freight shipments through customs and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, aiding and guiding throughout the clearance process to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of customs regulations and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Handle the customs clearance process for inbound and outbound freight shipments, including preparing and submitting documentation, obtaining necessary permits and licenses, and liaising with customs officials to resolve any issues.
- Act as the main point of contact for suppliers regarding clearance-related inquiries, providing timely updates on shipment status, answering questions about customs requirements, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Ensure all required documentation, such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, CUSMA is collected and submitted in accordance with customs regulations and company policies.
- Monitor changes in customs regulations and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and update internal processes and documentation as necessary.
- Proactively identify and resolve clearance-related issues, such as customs delays, missing or incorrect documentation, and customs duties or taxes, to minimize disruptions to the supply chain and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with internal departments, such as logistics, shipping, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of clearance activities with overall freight operations and financial processes.
- Maintain accurate records of clearance activities, including documentation, correspondence, and clearance-related expenses, to support auditing and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with the freight/transportation companies to obtain freight quotes.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or a related field.
- Previous experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or international trade operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, including tariff classification, valuation, and country-specific requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, customs officials, and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically to resolve clearance-related issues efficiently.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative approach to achieving departmental goals.
