We are looking for a savvy and hardworking team player for our Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Clinic, Brampton Hyperbarics and Wound Care located in Brampton.

As a Medical Office Administrator, you will be joining a team of compassionate health care providers seeking to positively impact the patients’ quality of life throughout their healing journey.

This is a full time, Monday through Friday, position with hourly compensation starting at $23-$25 with performance based bonuses.

**Details of the Position**

Details and responsibilities of a Medical Office Administrator include, but are not limited to:

- Welcome patients and HCP into the clinic. Provide assistance as needed
- Liaise with patients, physicians, and various HCP to schedule and confirm appointments, triage referrals, and coordinate activities related to and from clinical and patient interactions
- Support the day-to-day activities of a medical clinic including verifying the validity of OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) coverage or other medical insurance as appropriate
- Assist physicians and patients with requisitions and forms for insurance, medical forms, Ministry of Health etc
- Maintain a professional approach when interacting with colleagues and health care professionals to establish good working relations
- Communicate with patients using empathy, understanding and respect
- Collect payment of uninsured services as required
- Maintaining a neatly organized environment
- Ensure patient charts, records, and images are up to date
- Proper destruction of medical records
- Maintain an organized workspace
- Maintain outstanding customer service skills, including the ability to interact with patients using an empathic approach
- Administrative tasks as assigned
- Maintaining office supplies and inventory
- Assists the Managing Director with day to day Clinic operations as required

**Requirements**:

- Highly organized individual with attention to detail, strong communication skills, and is able to comfortably work in a high paced environment
- Outstanding customer service skills, including the ability to interact with patients using an empathic approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Outlook
- Proficient in Google Sheets and Google Docs
- A working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records is an asset
- Able to operate copier, printer, scanner
- Able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Hyperbaric Therapy
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable Transportation
- BLS

**Additional Information**
- Previous experience working in a medical clinic is preferred, but not required
- Previous experience working with Accuro EMR is preferred, but not required
- Languages: Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati an asset

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
