**Position Status**: Full Time (Saturday/Sunday - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday/Thursday/Friday - 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm)

**Salary**:$18.00 - $20.25

**Start Date**: Immediate

**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the General Manager - Asset & Capital Development, as Maintenance Lead, this position plays an essential role in ensuring that our YMCA members and participants enjoy a comfortable, positive experience while enjoying our facilities. Through collaborating with the Facility Services team, the Maintenance Lead is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility ready to meet the needs of all participants, employees, and the general public.

**Responsibilities Include**
- Ensure facility maintenance and cleaning standards are met and maintained in regard to the overall operations of the John W. Lindsay YMCA.
- Assist in the hiring, training and supervision of the facility staff of the YMCA.
- Ensure the safe and continual operation of the pools, sauna, and steam rooms; including related equipment, chemicals and cleanliness as required by provincial guidelines and industry standards.
- Materials management relating to cleaning, maintenance and pool supplies.
- Monitor and adjust all HVAC control systems as directed by the General Manager - Asset & Capital Development.
- Perform general cleaning, project cleaning, set up recreational sport equipment, laundry service and snow removal in building entrances and service areas.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and hold an outcome focused approach to facility maintenance and operations

**Qualifications and Skills**
- 1-3 Years building maintenance experience
- Certification in one or more of: Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Electrical/Plumbing, Mechanical HVAC, an asset
- Strong working knowledge and certification in WHMIS
- Proven background in support to a multi-program facility (i.e. fitness, aquatics, etc.) an asset
- Strong work ethic and flexibility to work irregular hours
- Dedication to safety and quality commitment, have proactive mindset
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Able to handle multiple, competing tasks
- Bilingual in French, Arabic, etc. an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
