Accounts Payable Specialist

Jaguar Land Rover Ottawa has an exciting opportunity for an **Accounts Payable Specialist**to join our accounting team We offer great earnings potential with ongoing training, an industry-leading benefits package, and a supportive team atmosphere.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Receive, code, and input invoices into the accounting system
- including follow-ups with internal departments for timely coding/charge-out information
- Reconcile Vendor statements against the accounting system
- Monitor and reconcile the accounts payable sub-ledger/summary schedule
- Process cheque and payment runs regularly, including the appropriate support package for each payment
- Reconcile monthly Visa statements
- Identify and communicate any issues with invoices and statements received, and follow up with vendors until issues are resolved
- Assist the Controller with month-end and year-end schedule preparation and closing activities
- File and maintain supporting documents for all invoices and related payments
- Assist the controller with other accounting and administrative duties, as assigned
- A minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience
- Attention to detail is crucial, as this role deals with a large volume of transactions
- Excellent organization skills to keep track of invoices at various stages of the accounts payable and payment process
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to set and meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Automotive experience is an asset - we use the CDK Drive accounting platform
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
