**S2526-39 Educational Assistant - H. E. Bourgoin Middle School**

**We are seeking a part-time (0.50 FTE) Educational Assistant commencing as soon as possible and for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.** This assignment involves assisting with student educational program needs including social skills, behaviour skills, self-help and personal care needs. This position requires a compassionate and energetic individual to work in a team environment.

**H.E. Bourgoin Middle School** is located in the Town of Bonnyville with approximately 290 students from grades 5-8. H. E. Bourgoin Middle School is committed to young adolescences, has a shared vision, has high expectations for all, believes in an adult advocate for every student, has family and community partnership and has a positive school climate.

**Preference will be given to applicants who have**:

- Post-Secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant
- Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies
- Experience working one-on-one and/or in group settings
- Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers
- Knowledge and experience in alternate communication strategies
- Experience assisting students with self-help and personal care needs
- Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans

**Training and skills that would be an asset include**:

- Relative experience in educational assistance, nursing and/or rehabilitation
- SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
