As a Garden Centre Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and handling all transactions. Your role will involve managing the checkout process, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate the cash register and handle sales transactions accurately.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions following store procedures.
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed.
- Support other store duties and team members as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred but willing to train the right people.
- Knowledge of plants and gardening an asset.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
