As Cannabis Cultivation Intern, you'll have the chance to work closely with our experienced cannabis growers. This hands-on experience will provide you with valuable knowledge about cannabis production, compliance with Canadian Cannabis Regulations, and the science behind successful cultivation.

**Responsibilities of Cannabis Growing Interns Include**:

- Gaining insight into the art of trimming and nurturing live cannabis plants throughout their growth cycle, ensuring their health and development.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our grow rooms, irrigation equipment, tools, and workstations, paying attention to the smallest details.
- Assisting in monitoring and managing cannabis plants, following integrated pest management practices to promote their well-being.
- Safely handling concentrated materials, including cleaning agents, nutrient compounds, and other essential inputs.
- Contribute to the propagation and care of cuttings and seedlings, playing a role in the early stages of plant growth.
- Participate in research projects, collecting data and expanding our understanding of cannabis cultivation.
- Keep meticulous records and documentation of production, cultivation, and research activities for analysis and compliance purposes.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of equipment used in cultivation, production, and sanitation tasks.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from various departments, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality cannabis products.

**Requirements**:

- **Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, pursuing a degree in a related scientific field (biology, botany, chemistry, horticulture, agriculture, etc.).**:

- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have been granted refugee status to qualify for internship funding.
- Local to the Edmonton area or possess reliable transportation for commuting.
- Comfortable working in warm and humid cultivation spaces with bright lights, while wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.
- Capable of performing physical activities and/or repetitive movements throughout shifts.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs (22kg).
- Comfortable with squatting, bending, and kneeling while utilizing tools and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Willing to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, including but not limited to sanitary clothing covers, gloves, mask, respirator, and/or eye protection.
- **Fully vaccinated against Covid-19, with proof of vaccination.**

**Job Type**: Internship / Co-op

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
