**What You'll Do**:

- As a Cannabis Cultivation Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to:

- Assisting with the cultivation of high-quality cannabis plants, from seed to harvest.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of cultivation areas, equipment, and workstations, adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Implementing and refining cultivation techniques under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Conducting experiments to optimize plant growth, yield, and cannabinoid profiles.
- Monitoring and maintaining plant health, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Accurately documenting cultivation processes and data.
- Safely and responsibly handling concentrated materials and agronomic inputs.
- Collaborating with the processing team on the production and packaging of cannabis products.

**What We're Looking For**:

- Currently enrolled in a university program in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Agriculture, Horticulture, Botany, Chemistry, Plant Science, etc.).
- A genuine passion for plant science and an interest in the cannabis industry.
- A strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent observation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Bonus Points**:

- Previous experience in an agricultural setting.
- Familiarity with cannabis cultivation practices.

**Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, pursuing a degree in a related scientific field.
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have been granted refugee status to qualify for internship funding.
- Local to the Edmonton area
- Able to work comfortably in warm and humid cultivation spaces with bright lights (with provided PPE)
- Able to perform physical activities and/or repetitive movements for the duration of a shift.
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs (22kg)
- Comfortable with the handling of plant and cultivation equipment.
- Willing to wear personal protecting equipment as needed, including by not limited to sanitary clothing covers, gloves, masks, respirators, and/or eye protection.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with proof of vaccination

Shifts Available:

- Sunday-Thursday
- Monday-Friday
- Tuesday-Saturday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
