Ipm Scout

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Monitor pests and diseases on greenhouse crops, such as Spider mites, Aphids, Thrips, Botrytis, Pythium, Fusarium, etc.
- Inspect main areas of concern, such as leaves, stems, branches, flowers and fruits
- Follow IPM protocols of pest and disease management
- Walk through the plant using the scouting map to identify pest or diseases on a timely manner to meet the target as assigned.
- Use color coding tape to flag the infected plant.
- Check the nearby plants of the effected plant to ensure no pest or diseases in them.
- May use scissor carts to check top of plants
- Report daily finding to Growers and Assistant Growers
- Fill in the scouting map and mark it to explain all identified issues related to pest and diseases.
- Prepare reports about different aspects in the greenhouse and submit them directly to the growers.
- Submit scouting map report
- Follow company policies & Procedures
- Any other duties outlined by the company

**Education, Skills & Experience**
- Knowledge and/or interest in working inside greenhouses
- Visual and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and without supervision
- Strong time management skills
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong observation skills

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to work in hot and humid conditions
- Ability to work at height of up to 3 meters on a scissor lift/cart

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
