The Maintenance Coordinator will be working in our Kitchener, ON wire cut cookie plant that produces 17 million cookies per week This state of the art facility operates with 4 highly automated production lines and possess a strong team oriented culture. This will be an 18 month contract.
The Maintenance Coordinator ensure the continuous operation of all plant equipment and machinery in term of preventative maintenance scheduling, parts inventory, supporting documentation and scheduling external contractors for additional support.
As an active member of team, you will be responsible to coordinate the daily departmental activities in order to improve plant equipment reliability in all areas.

**CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Maintain the Preventative Maintenance Program and ensure it meets the HACCP requirements.
- Plan, schedule and follow-up on maintenance activities to reduce unplanned maintenance and implement methods to reduce occurrences.
- Assign work and follow up with the team to complete PM on time on a weekly basis
- Maintain safe environment and work methods in keeping with Company standards.
- Prepare work instructions for new and existing equipment. Organize the records of calibration of machinery and equipment.
- Report and maintain compliance with monthly maintenance budget. Generating reports for Maintenance and Engineering Managers
- Organize maintenance documentation as needed for audit purposes
- Contact vendors to ensure timely delivery of spare parts
- Worth with contractors to coordinate production and work schedules
- Maintain the plant’s part inventory, ordering where necessary. Track cost accordingly.
- Support our commitment to Continuous Improvement through identifying and implementing ways to improve safety, quality and cost saving
- Contractor management - acquire, record & maintain all contractor documents
- Regular maintenance of CMMS system - inventory, WOs, PMs etc.
- Assist vendors with outstanding invoices & AP related issues
- Manage maintenance vacations & coverage

**ABOUT YOU**:

- 2 or more years’ experience planning or scheduling maintenance in manufacturing environment is required
- Continued education or degree is preferred
- Experience with CMMS related to ordering, planning, and work scheduling
- Experience with SAP purchase orders is a plus
- Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power point) needed
- Very strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge
- Must be self-motivated with strong command of verbal and written English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Eager to learn and train others
- Must be adaptable and flexible with schedule changes of the business
